The Ultimate Color Vote of 2010!

Welcome one and all to the Ultimate Color Vote of 2010!

If you have been keeping up with O'Baby or have jumped here from my other blogLink, then you know we are nearing Groundhog's Day, next Tuesday, February 2nd!

Joe and I are so giddy to find out whether, O'Baby/Ribbit O'Brien will be a boy or a girl.

My folks have decided to make the trek up from Houston to celebrate with us as well, so we are even more excited and hopeful that OB will cooperate!
So, I wanted to put it to a little vote. What do you think O'Baby will be?

Will Phil predict pretty bows in our future or many an hour of baseball lessons?

Cast your vote in the poll over on the lefthand side! But to make it more fun for Joe and I, please a comment telling us which you think and why!

Phil, this year's a big year for you, so rest up!! We'll see you Tuesday!

Update: More on the Room!

The dresser should be coming today! More photos coming soon!

In the meantime, will someone PLEASE bring me some enchiladas and tamales from La Suprema?? PLEASE?? -- thanks!

UPDATE:

Well, dresser arrived, looked it over, men left. Then I turned around. It so does not match the crib in color. Knew it would be a little different, but appears so much more orange against the crib. Now, I am depressed and not sure what to do.
1. Do we return it, and see if we can find something else somewhere else?
2. See if we can return everything and get the crib and dresser in espresso?
3. Live with it a bit and see if it works?
4. Continue to be depressed?

boo. not what I wanted.

The Transition!

We were able to pick up our crib on my birthday. An unusual, but welcome present. After going to Dock 7 and waiting in a scary hole in the mall for about 15 minutes, the delivery guy finally came down.

After an awesome dinner with family, we came home and Joe and his dad decided it NEEDED to be removed from the box! All looked good. So this past Saturday we decided to put it all together. I think it looks super! It's bigger than I thought, but I guess they are that size! And look, it's already kid tested and parent approved. Can't wait to add the bedding and then, eventually, the kiddo too!

A Room for O'Baby

This weekend we started preparing a bit more for O'Baby's arrival.

Along with getting to hear the heartbeat again this week, around 150-160s, we also made some rather important decisions!

We purchased the nursery decor!

Thanks to some very generous parents, we purchased our crib and dresser for O'Baby's room! We decided to go with a nice simple design in Sun Valley Honey. I really thought I was going to want a darker espresso color crib. But after seeing this color and realizing our room just isn't that big, I think Joe and I made a great choice.

We will use the dresser for the changing area, as well as super baby storage! Woohoo!

Crib should arrive this week or so and dresser by the end of the month! Onwards and upwards!
